Joy A. Maxey, MD

Dr. Joy Maxey is a native Atlantan. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, with General Honors and with Honors in Microbiology and the Medical College of Georgia with a Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Maxey did her internship and residency training in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at the Emory University Affiliated Hospitals. She is board certified and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, the DeKalb Medical Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Greater Atlanta Pediatric Society. Dr. Maxey has served and continues to serve in many capacities with a variety of volunteer, community service and professional organizations.
